Before the Surgery
I had been getting fillers as I’ve always been having issues with my angular and wide face, with my cheeks being sunken a lot. But now, I thought that my fat would be more natural than fillers, so I consulted for facial contouring and a facial fat transplant. And since the previous alar reduction surgery I got brought almost no changes to my nose, I ended up also consulting for the alar reduction. Firstly, the facilities were amazing, and I started to trust the hospital even more after the consultation with specialist doctors from each field. I guess maybe because the doctors were so kind and did a great job explaining everything, and also due to the hospital itself being so reliable, I had high expectations without any doubts. I felt great inside after hearing from the doctor that he’ll give his best for my surgery and that he expects great results.

Day 3
The pain itself was not as bad as I expected. Just on the day of surgery, the chin and the cheekbone area felt as if somebody was poking with a needle, but after that, I didn’t really feel any pain at all. It was uncomfortable with my face being much swollen. The swelling got worse until the 3rd day post-op.

1st week
I was so excited as today was the day to remove the stitches and the tape on my face. I’m looking forward to the recovery process even more after getting the treatments for managing the swelling. I hope all the swelling goes down quickly. Even in the state of swelling now, it seems that my facial line has come out well and has become very smooth. I can already see that my cheekbones, which were originally my complex, have improved a lot. So with nothing so uncomfortable, I’m just really looking forward to the recovery process.

2nd week
Today I had the stitches in my mouth removed. I felt relieved as soon as the stitches were removed, and the swelling seemed to be going down faster. Unlike what I heard about the possibility of intra-oral stitch removal being extremely painful, it didn’t hurt too much at all. I think two weeks post-op truly is a turning point. Removing the stitches significantly improved my daily life. I just become thrilled when thinking about eating all the food I have not been able to eat. And I’m delighted because the line did indeed become a lot prettier.

3rd week
There doesn’t seem to be a big change from the 2nd week. I’m diligently taking a walk and using sheet masks.

1st Month
I went to the hospital today for a follow-up appointment. The doctor showed me a comparison of before and after surgery through x-ray pictures, and I could definitely see the change even though I’m not an expert. He also examined my senses and told me that the surgery went well. It’s so great that I’m satisfied with my look too. The swelling hasn’t gone down yet, so I’m trying to pay more attention to managing the swelling.

2nd Month
Two months after the surgery, the major swelling seems to have all gone, and it seems that the only swelling left is on the cheek. It’s not to the extent that it’s obvious, but to the extent that only I can tell. I hear a lot from people I meet these days that my face is smaller and looks younger than before. The result of the nose reduction surgery is also very good, and maybe because I’ve done the fat grafting and the facial contouring surgery together, I feel that my face looks very natural, not showing any signs of plastic surgery.
