Gangnam District recently held the “Gangnam Medical Tourism – New Partner Appointment & Excellent Service Institution Award Ceremony” at the Gangnam Medical Tour Center in Apgujeong. The event aimed to recognize institutions that have contributed to the development of the medical tourism industry and to strengthen the global brand of “Gangnam Medical Tourism.”
During the ceremony, Gangnam-gu presented plaques to selected institutions and emphasized both their performance in medical tourism and their vision for the future. The district noted that in the previous year, 377,000 medical tourists visited Gangnam, accounting for approximately 32% of all medical tourists in Korea (1.17 million) and 37.7% of all foreign patients visiting Seoul (999,000). This is the highest figure since Gangnam began its medical tourism initiative in 2009.
Why View Plastic Surgery Was Selected
This year’s evaluation focused on the quality of online services for foreign patients. The assessment reviewed the responsiveness and professionalism of web and online consultations, particularly in English and Chinese, which are critical channels for international patients researching and booking treatment in Korea.
Out of a total of 167 partner institutions, only 8 clinics and hospitals were selected as “Excellent Institutions.” View Plastic Surgery was one of these eight, receiving recognition for its structured response system, patient-centered communication, and user-friendly online experience for overseas patients.
