Review of Consultation

I decided to get plastic surgery in Korea and visited View Plastic Surgery Clinic in Gangnam, Seoul near Sinnonhyeon Station. It is one of the biggest and most well-known plastic surgery hospitals in Korea.

The areas I wanted consultation for were breast surgery, rhinoplasty (nose job), and under eye fat repositioning (lower eyelid surgery).

First, I had a consultation for rhinoplasty in Korea. I showed the doctor a photo of actress Kim Yoo Jung and said I wanted a similar nose shape. The doctor explained that her nose is more glamorous in style and then kindly drew diagrams for me, explaining in detail what would work best for my face.

I was surprised to learn I had a hump nose (hump on the bridge) because I never realized it. The doctor suggested raising my nose by 3–4mm and explained exactly which parts would be corrected, and how the implant would be placed. I even asked funny questions like “Will my eyes get closer together if I get a nose job?” or “Is it true I’ll end up with a pig nose?” The doctor answered everything patiently.

Since this clinic has never had a medical accident and was even featured on the famous Korean plastic surgery TV program Let Me In, I felt reassured. Their system is well-established and recognized, so I feel more excited than worried.

3 Days Post-Op Review

Because I had multiple surgeries at once (rhinoplasty + under eye surgery), I was worried about pain, bruising, and swelling. But to my surprise, I was able to go home the same day and didn’t swell much at all.

The hardest part was breathing with nasal packing inside my nose. Sleeping was uncomfortable. The next morning, I checked my face in the mirror, but there wasn’t much swelling or bruising. I was even able to go alone on a two-hour trip back to the clinic for cleaning and nasal packing removal. The staff were always friendly and helpful.

After removing the packing, I could breathe a little better, although my nose was still swollen. There was no real pain—just some discomfort. After one more day, breathing became much easier.

The next day, I even went to the hair salon and had dinner with my boyfriend. The hair stylist thought my surgery had been weeks ago because I looked so normal—no bruises, almost no swelling. She even asked which clinic I went to so I recommended View Plastic Surgery. My boyfriend kept saying he was jealous of my new nose line and even said he wanted to get a nose job in Korea too.

1 Week Post-Op Review

By one week after surgery, I was already living normally. The only annoyance was the cast (splint) on my nose, which made it itchy, and not being able to blow my nose because of the silicone plate inside.

Friends came over expecting me to look like a patient, but they said I looked healthier than they did.

I had stitches removed, the nasal splint removed, and the silicone plate taken out. I had read many rhinoplasty reviews saying stitch removal and splint removal are painful, but for me, it wasn’t bad at all. The splint removal felt refreshing. The stitches on the columella and inside the nose were slightly painful but tolerable. After removing the silicone plate, breathing was much easier—an unforgettable relief!

When I first saw my nose after the splint removal, I was shocked at how pretty the nose line was. Many people say after cast removal the nose still looks swollen, but my swelling had gone down significantly. Only a little remained around the bridge and tip. I was so happy I sent pictures to all my friends right away.

2 Weeks Post-Op Review

At 2 weeks post-op, my face looked so natural it didn’t even feel like I had surgery. On Sunday, I put on makeup for the first time and went to church. My friends complimented my side profile, asked if I lost weight, or if I had filler injections because my face looked so natural and beautiful.

My younger friend even messaged me asking for the hospital information because she wanted to get a nose job in Seoul too. Although my nose tip was still a little red, I was extremely satisfied.

3 Weeks Post-Op Review

I went back to work after 3 weeks. I was nervous about working in the hospital ward, but I felt no real discomfort. My coworkers said my under eye fat repositioning surgery was especially successful and my impression looked much softer.

Before surgery, I thought the under eye change would be minor, but others said my face looked much brighter and my expression changed a lot. Recovery was smooth, and hearing compliments every day makes me so happy.

1 Month Post-Op Review

By 1 month post-op, my face looked so natural, it felt like I was born with this nose. My under eye area looked brighter, making my whole face look fresher. With makeup, I looked cleaner and younger.

Because my nose bridge was higher, my square jaw looked less noticeable and my face appeared slimmer and smaller. People even said I looked more mature and stylish, like a “cool foreign unnie.” I loved hearing that.

2 Months Post-Op Review

At 2 months post-op, my new nose already felt like my own. I went to a café with a friend, and when I saw my pictures, I couldn’t believe how pretty I looked. My confidence skyrocketed, and I couldn’t stop taking photos. I can’t wait for warmer weather so I can take even more pictures outdoors.

4 Months Post-Op Review

It’s been 4 months since my surgery, but it feels like years because I don’t feel any discomfort or foreign body sensation. Recently, I even caught a cold, but blowing my nose was no problem.

When I met friends without makeup, they said my facial features looked sharper and more three-dimensional. I felt so good hearing those compliments.

My boyfriend also had rhinoplasty with the same doctor after seeing my results, and he is just as satisfied. Now, whenever we meet, we always talk about our noses and laugh.

I even deleted all my old photos from Instagram because I couldn’t stand my “before” pictures anymore. Now I only want to live with my new look.
