This Korean plastic surgery review features an actual patient of VIEW, a Seoul plastic surgery clinic, and is published with the patient’s consent.
1. You had more than ten procedures at once, from a hair transplant to facial contouring in Korea. What did you have done?

In a single surgery, I had a hairline hair transplant, eye surgery, a sub-brow lift, facial contouring, and facial liposuction on my cheeks, double chin and jawline. I know it sounds like a lot! Fixing the asymmetry in my eyes was one of my goals, and five months later, I can say it was totally worth it.
2. How did you come to trust the medical team at this Gangnam plastic surgery clinic?
It built up through the results and the recovery itself. The incision for my sub-brow lift was placed along my natural brow margin with incredible precision. At four months, my faded 10-year-old eyebrow tattoo is actually more visible than the scar. They also told me upfront that a hair transplant takes much longer to mature than facial surgery, so at two months, even though it was my least favorite result so far, I knew it was too early to judge. And using the silicone gel they recommended made a massive difference in keeping the scar texture completely flat.
3. What was it like right after surgery? With so many procedures, you must have been worried about pain.

Honestly, I didn’t feel any pain at all. Genuinely zero. What scared me most were the stitches inside my mouth. I was terrified they’d sting the first time I ate something salty or flavorful, but they didn’t sting even once, not even right after surgery. There was an itchy phase that drove me crazy for a bit, but by week three it was gone.
4. When did everyday life start to feel normal again?

At three weeks post-op, I felt completely normal apart from some residual swelling. I was sleeping really well and transitioning back to solid foods. I’d been craving spicy food so badly, and when I tried some, I could eat it with no issues, though I’m still being cautious. I was wrapping up my last round of antibiotics, and everything stayed clean with no infection or irritation. With my head garment off, I was already talking almost normally. By one month, I felt 100% back to normal physically, going on walks and doing light workouts, and my stitches were practically unnoticeable, especially on camera. Considering I was recovering from multiple procedures at once, I’m so happy with how everything went.
5. Which result are you happiest with?

Hands down, my eyes. At two months, as the swelling went down, my eyelids looked very natural. The non-incisional ptosis correction is so seamless compared to my brow stitches, and the under-eye fat repositioning made me look much more rested without looking overdone. At five months, it’s still my favorite result. My eyes look so refreshed. My facial contouring and jawline contouring had already made my face noticeably slimmer by two months, but I didn’t think it was fair to judge the final result yet, since swelling can keep improving for several more months.
6. Was there anything you didn’t expect?

The facial lipo areas. At three months, some sunken areas were creating a visible line down the sides of my face, and I wasn’t happy with that. I hoped they’d fill out as the swelling subsided, but at five months there’s still some hollowing after liposuction, a noticeable vertical line on my cheek and jaw area when I smile. I’m planning to get a fat transfer down the road to fill that volume back in. My expressions took time too. At two and three months, some facial muscles were still waking up, so my smile felt stiff and not quite natural, and my face looked a bit off at certain angles. By five months, there was zero tightness left and my expressions were 100% back to normal.
7. Realistically, how did your scars and sensation recover?
The scars healed even better than I expected. At three weeks, the incisions behind my ears were pretty much gone, and the front ones were barely noticeable because my hair was already growing over them. By three months, the sideburn scars weren’t noticeable anymore. As for my sub-brow lift scar healing timeline, by four months the initial redness had fully passed and the scar blended into the surrounding skin. I used gentle cooling for the early tightness and applied silicone gel consistently. At five months, unless you know exactly where to look under direct light, the scars aren’t visible. Even my husband can’t see them anymore!
Sensation came back gradually. At two months, I still didn’t have full sensation in the donor area of my hair transplant. By three months, most of it had returned, with just a few slightly numb spots. At five months, there’s only a tiny bit of stiffness on the top of my scalp and near my left eye, and it’s improving every week.
8. Now at five months, what’s your overall verdict on your plastic surgery in Korea?

The major swelling has settled and I have full control over my face again. I’m super happy with my eyes and how the scars turned out, and I’ll address the fat loss area with a future touch-up. It’s still too soon to judge the full density of my hair transplant, but the new growth is coming in!
9. What would you tell someone considering facial contouring in Korea?
Swelling takes its sweet time. At two months, I could still see it, though people who didn’t know I’d had surgery probably wouldn’t have noticed. So don’t rush to judge your final results, especially with a hair transplant, which takes even longer. By week three, I could already see the structure was there. After that, it was just a matter of waiting for the final look. And a consistent post-op routine really makes a massive difference. Thank you to everyone who followed along during my crazy week-three swelling phase!
