Symptoms and Care
Capsular Contracture Prevention Medication: Skin issues (itching, rashes, hives) may occur.
If symptoms appear, stop
taking the medication.
It is preventive, so skipping it will not cause capsular contracture.
You may feel reduced sensation around the breasts and nipples after surgery. Sensation typically returns gradually over 6 months.
Sharp or tingling pain around the breasts and nipples may occur but improves over time. This is
a common symptom as
sensation returns.
Apply moisturizer to prevent irritation before wearing a bra.
The skin may feel dry and tight as it stretches after surgery. Apply moisturizer frequently.
Radiofrequency treatment begins 2 weeks post-surgery to aid recovery.
By 3 months post-surgery, the breast shape becomes natural, and the texture softens.
Face Washing / Showering
If Dermabond is used on the incision site, showers are allowed after 2 weeks. Avoid scrubbing or forcibly removing the bond.
If stitches are present, light showers are allowed the day after stitch removal.
After showering, apply moisturizer (e.g., body lotion or oil) frequently. This prevents dryness, reduces tightness, and helps with skin elasticity.
Stitches / Scars
After Dermabond naturally falls off, manage the scar with scar ointments or patches (recommended for 6 months to 1 year).
If stitches are present, apply scar ointments or patches 2 weeks after stitch removal (recommended for 6 months to 1 year).
For early scar care, silicone-based ointments are recommended for their moisturizing benefits and prevention of keloid scars.
Dissolvable sutures are used inside the incision. The scar may feel firm initially but
dissolves over 6 months.
If
stitches are exposed or cause pain, consult the hospital.
Scar laser treatment may be performed after 6 months.
If needed, scar management can include steroid injections after consultation with the doctor.
Bra Wear Instructions
When wearing compression garments, ensure the bottom line properly supports the breasts.
The use of an upper support band may vary depending on your recovery progress.
Wear a sports bra for the first 1-3 months. After 3 months, regular bras can be worn.
For regular bras, choose ones that fully cover the implants and ensure the cups do not press on the implants.
During exercise, wear a sports bra that minimizes breast movement for support.

For the first week, rinse with mouthwash instead of brushing your teeth.
After one week, use a small, soft-bristle children’s toothbrush for gentle brushing,
and
always rinse your mouth
thoroughly with mouthwash after meals.

Use cold compresses for the first 3 days post-surgery, then switch to warm compresses to reduce swelling.
Use the compression band for up to 2 weeks post-surgery (★ Wear for 2–3 hours and take a 1-hour break).

Sensation around the incision area may be reduced after surgery.
Sensation generally returns

Stitch Care
The stitches inside the mouth are dissolvable and typically disappear on their own after one month.

Starting 7 days post-surgery, practice lip movements (A/E/I/O/U sounds) and smiling exercises (ensuring symmetry of the lip corners).

For lower eyelid fat repositioning, the area may initially feel bulky and firm, but swelling

Even after stitch removal, the incision area is weak, so avoid rubbing, touching, or irritating your eyes for at least 1 month.
Do not use scar ointments on the eyes. After stitch removal, ensure no foreign substances enter
the incision area.
Apply eye ointment morning and night for 2–3 more days after washing your face.
Post-surgical scars may darken and feel itchy for 1–3 months, and they may appear more
